ISIS Leader al -Baghdadi Releases New Speech

ISIS leader al-Baghadi has released an audio and written version of a new speech, titled, "Even if the Disbelievers Believe Such." The English written version is here.

In the speech, he refers to Obama's decision to send 1,500 more advisers to Iraq. Assuming he is the speaker, it appears he is alive.

Obama who has ordered the deployment of 1,500 additional soldiers under the claim that they are advisors because the Crusaders' airstrikes and constant bombardment - day and night - upon the positions of the Islamic State have not prevented its advance, nor weakened its resolve.

He also urges more beheadings of the enemy: [More...]

[T]he serpent's head and the stronghold of the disease are beside you. Thus, draw your swords and break their sheaths....Dismember their limbs. Snatch them as groups and individuals. Embitter their lives and make them occupied with themselves instead of us. Be patient and do not hasten. Soon-in shi'allah- the vanguards of the Islamic State will reach you.

On U.S. weaponry:

Strike their shirk with your tawhid, and Allah will break their strength. Allah will transfer their wealth and arms to you. You will seize it from their hands as war booty through which you will support Allah's religion and continue to be the people of support.

He says it is the duty of every Muslim to fight, "fighting is obligatory", and those who do not will be punished by Allah.

Guy would eat his own children if he thought Allah told him to. Oh no, wait, no he wouldn't, he'd only tell OTHERS to do that. I hate the military/industrial complex, but you know you're the worst sort of human the world can produce when you rival it for my enmity. Such an atrophied and devolved person and movement. Worthless beyond all meanings of the word.

he's little different than many of the "Holiest of the Holy" leading religious movements around the world today. The difference is, of course, most of those other movements, religions, cults, superstitions, etc. have moved past the beheading chapters in their evolution.

Maybe it's just a fantasy swirling around in my head, but, wouldn't you think that in a world of approximately seven billion inhabitants there would be some Statesmen who would/could rise up and meet the challenge? We have had some historical, and, transformational leaders like this in our past. Why not now?

I don't intend to drag out this comment, and, I don't want to become a "Snark-Target," as is sometimes the case when putting forth a hypothetical vision. And, I'm fully aware of the numerous genocidal "Statesman" we've managed to produce over the years. But, I'm thinking, beyond the Hitlers, Genghis Khans, Attila the Huns, and, so on. We really, have had some truly decent, empathetic, forward looking leaders. No, really.

Anyway, I'm ending this post with the very positive, and, optimistic thought (daydream?) of a world whose evolutionary track (similar to the realization of a round earth) going from, "bye, bye, religion," to, "hello, reason."
