L-ville Slammed Zona and Oklahoma walloped the Cuse. My bracket is long gone. Steve M.'s Spartans are fighting for Big Ten pride against the JayHawks. The Zags hope to upend the Heels. I'll try to watch the games on the Tubes, from 35,000 feet. I'll tell you how it goes.

    What a gutsy win by the Spartans.  Incredible clutch performance down the stretch by Kalin Lucas, Big 10 player of the year and a kid I've always loved.

    Next up is a super-scary Louisville team.  Keep the faith!

    I'll be pulling for you! My boss had a baby right before TN won the BCS game in 1998. He was our lucky charm and he slept right through all the jumping and yelling. Maybe you have your own lucky charm.

    both Duke and the evil Memphis are out of the race. I want you to know that I was stalwart in my promise to never cheer for Memphis. I have never been happier about a Mizzou victory.

    teams I want to see defeated. Michigan State is my sentimental favorite (childhood in the Big 10). And I've always had a soft spot for Pitt.

    Sentiment aside, I think the final game will be Louisville vs. Villanova.

    that we got the #1 #1 by being the #4 #2, dunno ;)  I just wanna be a contender.  The Spartans have a way of exceeding expectations and I love rooting for a team that works hard, whatever the result.

    I'd appreciate it if Desmond would bring me luck, but he's more interested in seeing Villanova upset Pitt tomorrow to improve his own chances in the office pool.  4 days old and it's already all about him!

    Gotta try to carry on the family tradition!  Audrey won my office pool when she was like 6 months old.  We even bought her a stuffed gator to commemorate her winning selection.

    I even had to leave Desmond's first name blank when I submitted his bracket because he kinda hadn't gotten around to being born yet. ;)

    Gonzaga's out,but with the MSU win I still have a team to root for. Hopefully, their next game won't be such a nail-biter.

    Mommy is pretty wiped out but I am doing my best to help... like taking Audrey to the playground for an hour today.  The house is so much more peaceful without that little dervish, lol.

    We've had a couple little moments of jealousy but she mostly seems to adore that little "baby boy!!!" as she always exclaims.  She is very sweet with him and whenever he starts crying she looks very concerned and adorable.  I am convinced she will be an awesome big sis.

    I'm sorta part time right now, working from home when I can, which is kinda tough under the circumstances but it beats going into the office all day.  I have a big trial coming up at the end of April so it's unfortunately not like I can just drop out of sight.

    and worry, as many of us thought it would be.  Two kids, and one a toddler, means some quantum multiple more.  And they never want to nap at the same time.  So it takes two parents -- and then some.  

    It will ease in a while . . . until you have two teenagers at the same time. :-)

    how about that Missouri team?  Makes me almost think I'm going to become an avid Mizzou basketball fan again.  Although I'm sure I'll forget that next year when the season starts again.

    ...plays BB like I remember from my days--high energy, length of the court defense and lots of passing.  They're quite fun to watch.  

    I'd like to see Mizzu play MSU for the title just because everyone knows that Heartland basketball is the best basketball.

    We set behind "Rollie" Massimino in the classic NCAA championship  game of 1985
    between Villanova  and Georgetown at Rupp Arena in Kentucky.  I don't know who put on the best show Villanova's great guard or "Rollie" taking off and putting on his coat.
    The night before we listened to the chant  " Hoya's are #1"  all night long, and they were the Big #1. That night we listened to, "Hoya - Hoya - what the hell's a Hoya. A Hoya is #2 - A Hoya is #2.

    that nailed the tobacco companies to the wall. And my state got a pile of funding because of it -- money to support much needed medical/biotech research and development. For that, she has my enduring thanks.

    Don't misunderstand, I'm not naive enough to think Gillenbrand, or any other politician, hasn't done things that would make me cringe. I've lived too long and known too many pols personally to think otherwise. But the reality of who and what certain politicians really are doesn't mean I have to lose my own beliefs. If Gillenbrand works well for you that's excellent. I'd still rather have someone like Gregoire as my governor than Gillenbrand as my senator. Just the way it is.

    I am not so thrilled with her as the governor. She has much bigger things to manage than punishing the tobacco growers.

    on the labor suit cost the state Millions.

    One should never judge the whole of a politician on just one act. I can't think of one thing, though I'm sure others can, that gives her a standout mark as governor.

    ...a heckuva game. I was worried there right up until the last minute as I have Michigan State making the Final Four in my bracket. Weird how much more exciting even a close game can be when you have something as silly as a bracket you're hoping will hold up.

    I had Memphis going all the way, but I still have Pitt, OK, and Mich St in the final four. Right now I am clinging to a small lead. Am hoping for the best.
